Interpreter Services
CKYFS Inc. provides interpreting and language services to their clients.
Growing up, Jane frequented the San Diego Public Library where she discovered two bookcases filled fully with Chinese language books in traditional and simplified characters. In Taiwan, where she was from, traditional Chinese characters were taught there, not the simplified ones. She read every book on those shelves. These Chinese language books were a mixture of topics from children’s stories to contemporary periods in Chinese speaking countries. Her love of books was developed. During this time she discovered some of her favorite writers were American Contemporary author John Steinbeck and English Author George Elliot.
This discovery led to her next adventure into the U.S. Navy, where she worked as a military linguist for a decade and taught juniors within the community how to correctly translate complex technical graphic cuts from its message traffic into professional English & technical documents for the network environment using translation tools and Internet resources.
She was quickly ranked among the top civilians in the intelligent community as a language expert in the target language within a matter of months. She was often sought after by the civilian foreign intelligence service of the federal government of the United States organizations to do analytical work.
As one CIA agent had said, “Jane is THE person you need if you want a detailed report completed with the detailed analyst of the project.”

“Thank you for being here to assist us in our needs, without you, we felt lost. You were so compassionate. We are a proud family, it was hard for us to reach out for help. We are glad you were there for us. Your presence made us ease into opening up to speak with the social services for our needs. Thank you for putting us at ease and giving us hope to trust the system to care for our adult child’s needs. Thank you!!”

Language Lessons
Lessons include a short 15-30 minute assessment used to gauge the student’s current skill level in the target language. The class is then split into two parts: first, to introduce the topic to the student, and second, to test whether the student has retained the information and applied it over the course of the class. A weekly assessment of the materials is given to ensure the students are on top of their studies with the language they are learning.
Disclaimer - There is no guarantee on how well a student learns from the instructor. It all depends on the level and the dedication the students take towards learning the target language. Each language is hard and complicated, but with enough dedication, those who seek to learn the language are capable of reaching new heights. Progress varies by each student due to their individuality, their living environment, as well as their age, however the instructor will assist you to achieve the best outcomes.
